Writing documentation can be a very dry task but it doesn’t have to be! You can carry a nice, familiar tone in your writing so the reader doesn’t feel put off by the fact that you know more than they do. I’m also a big believer in anecdotal tangents. These serve as a break from the serious business of educating the reader and keeps their attention. I recommend teasing the reader with cliff-hangers so they continue reading your documentation until the very end.
It’s truly amazing what you can do with words. Without words how would we communicate? We’d have to draw everything and that would put those without much artistic talent at a disadvantage as they wouldn’t be able to express themselves as effectively as those who were naturally talented or went to art school.
